The MLB The Show 26 Phillies vs. Braves Program is a short postseason grind built around the 2026 National League Wild Card Series. If you are looking for another way to strengthen your Diamond Dynasty roster, this program is worth doing, especially with four 99 OVR rewards waiting along the path. Players can also build up their resources for future roster moves, including MLB Stubs, while completing the objectives.

Phillies vs. Braves Program Rewards

The reward path is only 25 XP, so it does not take long to finish. The biggest rewards are four 2026 Postseason Series players:

• 5 XP: 99 OVR Andrew Painter
• 10 XP: 99 OVR Chris Sale
• 15 XP: 99 OVR Alec Bohm
• 20 XP: Deluxe Choice Pack
• 25 XP: 99 OVR Austin Riley

The four players cover several useful positions and should appeal to both Phillies and Braves theme-team players. Riley is the headline reward, with strong offensive potential at third base, while Bohm gives Phillies lineups another quality corner infielder.

How to Earn Program XP

The easiest starting point is the Moments section. There are five Moments based on major Wild Card Series plays, including Riley's Game 1 home run, Bryce Harper's Game 2 tying homer, Bohm's go-ahead hit, Painter's relief appearance, and Sale's performance.

Finishing all five Moments gives 10 XP, meaning you can immediately unlock Painter and Chris Sale before moving into the longer missions.

For players who want to buy MLB Stubs, it is still worth completing these objectives first rather than skipping the program's free rewards.

Mission Strategy

The remaining missions are simple, but using the right roster can save a lot of time:

• Hit 3 home runs with Phillies players
• Record 12 strikeouts with Braves players
• Earn 2,026 Parallel XP with Phillies or Braves players
• Earn 2,026 Parallel XP with 2026 Postseason Series players

The best approach is to combine these objectives whenever possible. Put your strongest Phillies power hitters near the top of the lineup, then use Braves pitchers when you need strikeouts. Filling the rest of the roster with Postseason Series cards also helps push the second PXP objective forward.

Best Modes for Grinding PXP

You can complete the missions in several Diamond Dynasty modes, including Ranked, Battle Royale, Events, Conquest, Mini Seasons, Play vs. CPU, Diamond Quest, and Weekend Classic.

For a relaxed grind, Conquest and Mini Seasons are probably the easiest choices. Play vs. CPU is another good option if you want full control over the matchup. Competitive players can simply work on the missions while playing Ranked or Events.

If your Diamond Dynasty budget is limited, focus on completing the program before spending resources on additional roster upgrades. That approach leaves more room for future content and makes your cheap MLB Stubs strategy more efficient.

Is the Program Worth Completing?

Yes. The Phillies vs. Braves Program is short, has no complicated requirements, and gives you four 99 OVR Postseason Series cards plus a Deluxe Choice Pack and more than 6,000 XP. Even if you do not run a Phillies or Braves theme team, Austin Riley, Alec Bohm, Chris Sale, and Andrew Painter can still provide useful depth for different Diamond Dynasty builds.

Start with the Moments, stack your roster with eligible players, and finish the PXP missions while playing your preferred mode. By the time you reach 25 XP, you will have added several strong postseason cards without an especially long grind. Players who want to save time or supplement their in-game budget can also check MLB Stubs for sale, but the program itself offers plenty of value through normal gameplay.
