BBC Radio 1 presenter Vick Hope and her husband, superstar DJ Calvin Harris, have announced the birth of their first child. The couple, who married in September 2023, welcomed a baby boy named Micah on July 20.

In his post, he praised Hope, calling her a "superhero" and expressing his awe at her "primal wisdom." The photos showed the couple with their newborn, as well as moments from the delivery.
The couple's announcement has drawn significant attention, particularly due to the unconventional nature of some of the photos, which included images of the placenta. Harris indicated that the couple had chosen to have the placenta preserved and made into capsules, a practice known as placentophagia, which some believe has health benefits for new mothers.
Vick Hope, who is also a presenter on BBC's *Countryfile*, had previously kept her pregnancy private, only subtly confirming the news in the months leading up to the birth. The couple has been known for keeping their relationship low-key since their engagement in 2022.
