Pre-orders for Apple's new iPhone 17 lineup are now open, following the recent "Awe Dropping" event where the company unveiled its latest smartphones. The new series includes four models: the iPhone 17, iPhone 17 Pro, iPhone 17 Pro Max, and the all-new iPhone Air.
The new lineup is available for pre-order through Apple's website, the Apple Store app, and other authorized retailers. Customers who place a pre-order can expect their devices to begin shipping and become available in stores on Friday, September 19.
The iPhone 17 lineup introduces a number of significant updates. For the first time, all models feature a 120Hz ProMotion display, a feature previously exclusive to the Pro models. All new iPhones also come equipped with an updated 48-megapixel camera system. The base iPhone 17 and the iPhone Air now have a minimum of 256GB of storage, doubling the previous generation's entry-level capacity.
Apple's new iPhone Air is positioned as a key addition to the lineup. Touting itself as the thinnest iPhone ever, it is a replacement for the Plus model and features a titanium frame. It is powered by the A19 Pro chip, which is also found in the iPhone 17 Pro models.
Pricing for the new phones starts at $799 for the iPhone 17, $999 for the iPhone Air, and $1,099 for the iPhone 17 Pro. The iPhone 17 Pro Max, the top-tier model, begins at $1,199.
The new iPhones also come with iOS 26, which includes new features powered by Apple Intelligence, such as on-device live translation and improved visual search.
