Former presidential candidate of the Labour Party, LP, Mr Peter Obi has said that the use of boats for kidnap and demand for ransoms in foreign currency have worsening socio-economic implications for the country.

This is even as he expressed sadness over the kidnap of the Managing Director of Fouani Company, Mohamed Fouani, alongside other three Lebanese, in Lagos.

160,000 children living with HIV in Nigeria – CCN

The Christian Council of Nigeria, CCN, has expressed concern over the high rate of children living with the Human Immunodeficiency Virus, HIV, in Nigeria.

It said about 160,000 children were living with HIV in Nigeria, with only 45,000 receiving treatment.

Buhari calls for increased food production, warns against population exploration

Former President Muhammadu Buhari has said he is pleased that more Nigerians have taken to the farm to grow more food so as to bring prices down and feed the nation.
