Intervene in cooking gas price hike, APC chieftain urges Tinubu
A chieftain of the ruling All Progressives Congress in Osun State, Olatunbosun Oyintiloye, has urged President Bola Tinubu to intervene in the hike of cooking gas prices in the country.
Oyintiloye, a former member of the defunct APC Presidential Campaign Council, opined that Nigerians couldn’t be facing harsh economic realities in getting what to eat while at the same time, having difficulty using gas to cook food.
He stated this in Osogbo, the Osun State capital on Sunday while speaking with newsmen, adding that the cost of cooking gas was becoming unbeara
Govs, CJs free over 800 inmates in three months – Reports

According to the latest summary of inmate population on the website of the Nigerian Correctional Service, the total inmate population was 78,519, out of which 54,067 inmates are awaiting trial and 24,452 are convicted.
In the spirit of the New Year, the governors of Benue, Nasarawa, Gombe, and Taraba states, granted amnesty to 96 inmates serving various jail terms in different custodial centres.
Benue Governor, Rev Fr Hyacinth Alia, granted pardon to 12 inmates at the correctional centre in the state.
Enugu will generate, distribute electricity by 2026 – Gov
Enugu State Governor, Peter Mbah says his administration will generate and distribute electricity in the state by the end of 2026.
Mbah unveiled the plans to tackle the challenges of epileptic power supply to businesses and residents of the state on Saturday at a town hall meeting with various stakeholders.
According to him, the State Electricity Regulatory Commission will be inaugurated soon as part of measures to actualise the goal, adding that the state would explore opportunities provided by the power sector reforms to generate and distribute power
