Military destroys Zamfara bandits’ enclave, kills scores

The military Joint Task Force North-West Operation Hadarin Daji said, on Wednesday, that it neutralised scores of bandits and rescued eight kidnapped victims in Zamfara State.

The Information Officer of Operation Hadarin Daji, Lt. Col. Suleiman Omale, stated this in a statement on Wednesday in Gusau.

Omale said, “On the 28th February 2024, the troops engaged the terrorists with a heavy gun duel which due to superior fighting power the bad elements fled in disarray and abandoned their captors.

Navy recovers N7.4bn stolen crude oil, others

Personnel of Operation Delta Sanity have recovered a total of 8,764,080 litres of stolen crude oil and other products worth N7.4bn in operations conducted between February 19 and 28, 2024.

The various operations were conducted in Brass River, Akassa, Lagosgbene, Tebidaba, and Oyeregbene in Bayelsa; Abuloma, Abonnema, Woji, and Taraba jetty in Borikiri, Rivers State; Uyenghe in Ibaka area of Cross River State; Agadagba in Ese-Odo Local Government Area of Ondo State and Agbojeto Akorin in Lagos.

FRSC warns staff against corrupt practices

The Corps Marshal, Federal Road Safety Corps, Dauda Biu, has warned staff against getting involved in corrupt practices.

Biu gave the warning at the first quarter Corps Marshal strategy session with commanding officers in Abuja on Wednesday, urging the staff to avoid tarnishing the image of the corps.

The Corps Marshal noted that corrupt practices must be dealt with, adding that any form of corruption would be met with severe consequences.
