Delta govt distributes 388 tonnes of maize to poultry farmers

Delta State Government has distributed 388 tonnes of maize to members of the state chapter of Poultry Farmers Association of Nigeria, PAN, to mitigate the challenges confronting them.He said the gesture was aimed at reducing the high cost of living by encouraging the production of what is consumed in the state and also enable the state compete favourably with any other states in the country in terms of agricultural productivity.He disclosed that the verification of the list of members submitted by the association in the state showed substantial compliance

EFCC recovers N30bn from humanitarian ministry’s looted funds
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has recovered over N30bn from the N37,170, 855,753.44 allegedly laundered in the Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs under the former minister, Sadiya Umar-Farouk.

Sources in the anti-graft agency, who spoke with our correspondent on Friday, said the commission had also uncovered over N500m from the scam associated with Umar-Farouk’s successor, Betta Edu, who was recently suspended by President Bola Tinubu.
