For Salah, this marks a historic achievement as he becomes the first player to win the men's award three times, adding to his triumphs in 2018 and 2022. The 33-year-old forward was instrumental in Liverpool's Premier League title win, leading the league with 29 goals and 18 assists. His impressive tally also earned him the Premier League Player of the Season, Golden Boot, and Playmaker awards, making him the first player to secure all three in a single campaign.

Meanwhile, Mariona Caldentey's exceptional debut season with Arsenal has been celebrated with the Women's PFA Players' Player of the Year award. The Spanish international, who joined the Gunners from Barcelona last summer, scored 19 goals across all competitions and was a key player in Arsenal's journey to winning the Champions League. Her outstanding form was recognized by her fellow professionals, who voted her the best performer in the Women's Super League.

Both players were also named in their respective PFA Teams of the Year, alongside other standout performers from the season. The accolades underscore their significant impact on their clubs' successes and cement their status as two of the most influential players in English football.
