The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) has released the 2024/2025 edition of its widely used Sunday School manual. The new curriculum, which is now available for purchase, will guide the weekly scriptural studies in all RCCG parishes in Nigeria and across the globe for the new Sunday School year.
The release includes the student and teacher's manuals for the adult and youth classes, which serve as a primary tool for in-depth Bible study and discussion during the church's Sunday services. In addition to the primary manuals, the church has also rolled out the "Zeal" series, a specialized curriculum designed for children and teenagers, with different editions tailored for various age groups, including 0-3 years, 4-5 years, 9-12 years, and teenagers.
While there has been no single formal announcement event for the new edition, the manuals have been made available through the official channels of the church, including the CRM Bookshops. Parishes and members have been encouraged to procure their copies to prepare for the commencement of the new Sunday School year.
The RCCG Sunday School is a core component of the church's Christian education program, designed to foster spiritual growth and a deeper understanding of the Bible among its members. The curriculum is developed annually and is often complemented by the daily devotional, "Open Heavens," written by the General Overseer of the church, Pastor Enoch A. Adeboye.
Although Pastor Adeboye has not released a specific statement regarding the new Sunday School manual, his teachings on the importance of God's word are frequently emphasized in connection with the church's educational materials.
The weekly lessons from the manual are a staple in RCCG parishes, with teachers leading interactive sessions to explore the themes and scriptures for each week. The availability of the new 2024/2025 edition signals a fresh year of coordinated Bible study for the millions of RCCG members worldwide. The manuals are also accessible through various digital platforms, including mobile applications and websites, ensuring a wider reach for members who prefer digital formats.
