The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has raised an alarm over a shockingly low turnout for printing mandatory exam slips. Discover why over 88% of eligible candidates might miss today's UTME mop-up exam and what to do now.

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has expressed concern over the low number of candidates who have printed their notification slips for the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) mop-up exam scheduled for Saturday, 28 June.

As of Friday morning, only 12,442 of the 98,232 eligible candidates, a mere 12.6%, had printed the mandatory slips required to take the exam.

The board has described the mop-up as a "rare opportunity" for those who missed the main UTME and has strongly encouraged all affected candidates to print their slips immediately to avoid forfeiting their chance to participate in this year's examination cycle.

JAMB has assured that it has deployed the necessary human and material resources to ensure a smooth examination process and is closely monitoring the slip printing to estimate attendance. The board reiterated that failure to print the notification slip will result in candidates being unable to sit for the examination.
