The cast of NBC's long-running drama "Chicago Fire" is undergoing significant changes as the show heads into its fourteenth season. Recent announcements have confirmed the departure of three cast members, while a new face is set to join the ranks of Firehouse 51.
The latest actor to exit is Michael Bradway, who portrayed Jack Damon, the half-brother of Kelly Severide. Bradway, who joined the show in Season 12, will not be returning for the upcoming season. His departure follows the previously announced exits of Daniel Kyri, who played Darren Ritter since season 7, and Jake Lockett, who joined as Sam Carver in season 11. The departures of Kyri and Lockett were reportedly part of an effort to adjust the show's budget.
Amid the departures, "Chicago Fire" will be welcoming a new series regular. Brandon Larracuente is set to join the cast, though details about his character are being kept under wraps. Larracuente is no stranger to the Dick Wolf universe, having previously appeared in "On Call."
These changes come after other recent shifts in the "Chicago Fire" ensemble. At the end of Season 12, original cast member Eamonn Walker, who played Chief Wallace Boden, stepped down as a series regular but made a guest appearance in Season 13.
For Season 13, Jocelyn Hudon, who plays paramedic Lyla Novak, was promoted to a series regular. The season also saw the introduction of Dermot Mulroney as the new chief, Dom Pascal.
As Firehouse 51 prepares for its next chapter, fans can expect to see a mix of familiar faces and new dynamics when "Chicago Fire" returns for Season 14. The returning cast is expected to include Taylor Kinney, Miranda Rae Mayo, David Eigenberg, Joe Minoso, Christian Stolte, and Hanako Greensmith.
