After a four-year hiatus from new material, nu-metal icons Limp Bizkit have returned with a surprise new single, "Making Love To Morgan Wallen." The track, which was officially released today, September 12, 2025, has already generated significant buzz due to its attention-grabbing title and a sound that harkens back to the band's late-'90s heyday.

The song was first teased last week in a viral social media post from drummer Kristina Rybalchenko. The post, which featured a snippet of the song and a comical exchange with frontman Fred Durst, hinted at the band's return to their signature over-the-top, groove-heavy style. The full song delivers on that promise, featuring chunky guitar riffs from Wes Borland, a propulsive beat from John Otto, and Durst's trademark rapid-fire rapping and provocative lyrics.

In a move that links the song to a different era of entertainment, "Making Love To Morgan Wallen" is being released in partnership with the upcoming video game *Battlefield 6*. The track, which is being released via EA Games/Hollywood Records, will be featured on the game's soundtrack. This isn't the first time the band has collaborated with the franchise, as a remix of their 1999 hit "Break Stuff" was also featured in an early trailer for the game.

Lyrically, the song is a classic slice of Limp Bizkit irreverence, featuring a number of pop culture references. A notable line in the track, "Damn, I miss you Chester, sending love from my bass compressor," is a clear and heartfelt shout-out to the late Linkin Park vocalist Chester Bennington.

While the song's title is sure to raise eyebrows and spark conversation, there has been no official reaction from country star Morgan Wallen as of yet. Fans, however, are already reacting to the new material, with many noting the nostalgic feel and the band's return to form. The track is the first new music from Limp Bizkit since their 2021 album, Still Sucks.
