Ondo begins construction of rural roads
Ondo State Government has begun the construction of roads in the rural areas in the three senatorial districts of the state, under the Rural Access and Agricultural Marketing Project.

It was gathered that the project which was launched on Friday by the state governor, Mr Lucky Aiyedatiwa, was to ease transportation of farm produce to the urban centres and would gulp a sum of N1.2billion.

At the launching of the project at Oda Community in Akure South Local Government Area of the state, Governor Aiyedatiwa said the project was part of the government’s commitment to the development

Soldiers killed three terrorists in Sambisa forest raid – Army

A troops of the Nigerian Army, on Friday, killed three terrorists during a raid on Sambisa forest in Borno State.

The troops also destroyed terrorist hideouts in the forest.

Sambisa forest was earmarked by the colonial government as a game reserve but it has become the stronghold of both Boko Haram and Islamic State for West Africa Province terrorists.

Despite several clearance operations carried out by the military in the forest, the terrorists still operate from there

NDLEA partners NPFL on drug test for footballers

Astatement signed by the Director of Media and Advocacy of NDLEA, Femi Babafemi, noted that this was one of the high points of discussions between the leadership of the agency and the football league.

Lawyer urges EFCC to probe Buhari’s cabinet members

Human rights lawyer, Pelumi Olajengbesi, has urged the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission to probe all cabinet members and appointees who served during the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari.

Buhari, the immediate past president, served a two-term of eight years from 2015 to 2023.

In a statement on Friday, Olajengbesi, who is the Managing Partner of Abuja-based law firm, Law Corridor, said the probe had become imperative with the startling revelations arising from the trial of ex-Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Godwin Emefiele.
