Kebbi gov swears in LG administrators

The Kebbi State Governor, Nasir Idris, on Tuesday sworn-in 21 local government administrators and charged them to stay closer to their people at the grassroots.

The governor had, last month, dissolved all the elected chairmen of the 21 LGs of the state and their secretaries.

FG gives N150,000 grants to 200 participants at Ogun MSMEs clinic
Vice President Kashim Shettima, on Tuesday, announced a N150,000 cash grant for exhibitors at the second edition of the National Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises clinic.

A grant of N100,000 was also given to over 200 owners of new stores at the Modern Adire International Market, Asero, Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital.

Dollar video: Court stops Kano anti-graft agency from probing Ganduje

The Federal High Court in Kano on Tuesday ruled that the Kano Public Compliant and Anti-Corruption Commission lacks the power to investigate the immediate past state governor, Abdullahi Ganduje, over the dollar bribery video.

While delivering his judgment, the presiding judge, Justice Abdullahi Liman, said the offence is a federal offence that can be prosecuted by the Attorney General of the Federation and Economic and Financial Crimes Commission.

Justice Liman, however, said the Kano anti-graft agency cannot investigate Ganduje.
